What is that drives people to become a success in the field
of profession, weather it is soccer, movies, music, science, politics, business
and other professions not mentioned. As a young growing up in a rural
settlement of GA-Sekhukhune I was always told that I have to work hard to live
a better full of peace of mind, happiness, love and most of all live a
comfortable lifestyle. This is what my family and community believed in, that
hard work leads to living a very decent lifestyle. I grew up with this being
the only way to live decently and prosper in live, through hard work nothing
else. The whole perception change later on in my life at the age of 20. Having
grown up in a Christian family reading the Bible was a casual thing to me. I
came across a scripture which stated “I can do all things through Christ who
gives me the strength” that scripture stack in my head since that day. I kept
meditating on the scripture to get more inside on what it meant fully so. This
was still in my high school years. Later on I graduated my matric and left home
to further my studies at tertiary. The scripture was still in my head during my
first year at college. I started making friends and meeting new people who all
had one thing in common. This is something millions of people around the world
seek each and every single day of their lives. I am talking about SUCCESS! YES
success. I am not the only person who grew up being told that hard work leads
to a decent or more prosperous lifestyle. Hard work alone is not sufficient to
live a fairly prosperous lifestyle. There are a number of factors which
contribute or collaborate hand in hand with the road to success in various
fields of our professions and as well as personal lives. The next following
chapters cover the elements the one needs follows to the road inspired some of
the world’s renowned successful professions and my personal experiences in this
journey.
